Public Speaking

Course Description

This course provides the student with training and experience in researching, organizing and presenting various types of oral presentations.  Topics covered include audience analysis, speech organization, delivery techniques, and the use of sensory aids.  Narrative, informative, and special-occasion presentations are required.  The instruction in this class, in large portion, comes through discussion with the class and the instructor regarding specific speeches the student will deliver.

Personal Course Content –

Public speaking is a course that makes one more comfortable with presenting in front of an audience. I believe that this class more solely focuses on an individual’s ability to create a presentation that is meaningful to the audience and to the writer itself. This class is more about the person and their integrity and skills throughout the presentation. Even though this class has an element of work and presentation there is also an element more about the people learning more about yourself and what one is comfortable with for others to understand. This class illustrates more about not only the work but the person and their comfort in front of people and their surrounding.

What I did in class –

In class, our main work was to create presentations in the class to make our ability to speak and experience the audience to be better our abilities. I already have the ability to teach and give speeches making that class much easier and just a class for fun and relaxation
