Integrating Ideas

In earlier essays, I tend to more use summaries of the authors in order to further my point creating an essay more about the summary and the content of a different other authors thoughts and opinions.  As I developed throughout the class I realized to move forward from summarization instead have my own ideas and summarize their perspectives in my text where I use the author’s to further my points. This is clearly seen in my most significant essay as instead of summarizing the authors that we are given I used only a fraction of their ideas to build on my own arguments. In this essay, the most significant growth is most apparent when I use Alexander’s definition of specific narratives not only to define the narrative but also to challenge their definitions furthering my own argument about how narrative should be classified. This example is a quite a parent throughout my essay. Then I continue to explain the actual relationship that I have in between the text and to the argument that I’m making to the reader. This helps me better integrate the idea that a different author has created in a better stance and a better essay to inform my reader about my stance. As the more and more I work throughout the semester I have learned how to better myself not only through summary but through the actual argument of other works to better my own argument and create a stronger stance to my Readers.
