Active Reading

Where I annotate is where I feel like there is more uncertainty in the understanding of the text and it its deeper meaning. In my annotation there seem to be any questions on what the meaning of the text could mean and how to analyze there meaning I seem to do it a lot especially when I first started in Gees text. Then there is text where I seem to try to connect things to my life like in Gee’s second page where I try to make references to my own life mainly as a joke but true. My annotations do relate to my blog post like in Learning to read biology I make a point about how my understanding is not clear in the text and then in the blog for November 15 I make that clear as I still have to understand more. In Brant’s work, I make it clear that I then challenge her work because of my own ideas on her perspective causing me to illustrate active reading as I make opposition to the presented facts. Gilroy makes it clear that through annotations there is more devoplement of the meaning this is where I agree with her, but for me, I feel as though I just need to be more understanding through the experience of reading and analyze that clearly helps me understand the text more. My approach to active reading is to understand text more through experience and just repetition witch I believe has helped me but there is a better way through annotations and the experience of the reading and analyze itself.
